Christmas color macro shot, tons of pollen on the stamen of the flower. Wish the focus was on the first anther but other than that composition was fine.
Some of the macro images I like best have just a thin area of focus with negative space throughout. Captured this at the Biltmore Conservatory. Really liked the color, simple composition and shallow depth of focus.
As you can imagine, I had to look up the parts of a flower to add a title. Simple little composition. Liked the color and use of focus to pull attention.
Urban Trail stop number 27. Macro shot from Monument Corner. Located in front of the Jackson building on Pack Square. The marker commemorates the tombstone shop previously located there and referenced in Look Homeward, Angel.
Macro abstract from the Biltmore Estate Conservatory. Enjoyed catching the drops of water on the plant as they take on the color from the flower.
Abstract from the conservatory at the Biltmore Estate. I'm better taking photos than identifying plants, if anyone knows what it is I'm happy to include the information.
Noticed this flowering cactus in the Biltmore Conservatory. I don't typically shot macro images but want to spend more time on the details. Even though I like the composition on the shot, I'm not impressed with the focus.
