The pier at Lake Powhatan. Beautiful, warm day for January. Color image embedded is somewhat bleak but the black and white works just fine.
Plaza B at Cahal Pech. I probably should have combined the 3 images into a single post but since it's not a location I'm likely to get back to, I don't mind sharing them individually.
Plaza B at Cahal Pech. The largest courtyard at the Mayan site, presented here in black and white.
Plaza F at Cahal Pech. Looking back towards a royal residence and sleeping structure. Plaza E sleeping quarters also pictured within post.
Cahal Pech was a smaller site but had fewer people when we arrived. At one moment I turned around and realized I was the only person walking around the courtyard in Plaza A. Also have very similar images in color that I'll post soon.
One of the highlights of the trip to Belize was the opportunity to visit mayan sites. The first location was Xunantunich, the "Lady of Sculpture" or Stone Lady. A couple photos for perspective, the structures were larger than I expected.
The higher you are on El Castillo the closer you are to God. Stairway to Heaven at Xunantunich. Happy New Year! Post #1 of 2020.
The pergola at the Biltmore Estate creates an interesting photo. The wooden rafters leads you to the light at the end of the tunnel.
Originally went for the color but the light was right for the infrared camera. First image next to the Bass Pond at the Biltmore Estate, the second walking on the Meadow Trail.
