Beautiful view from the South Terrace at the Biltmore Estate. Even lighting as a cloud went past the sun, removed the harsh shadows. Bear Creek Road around the Farmers Market is at the base of the mountains in the distance.
Laughter Mountain Road on Little Pisgah. There are very few traffic jams on this private drive. The image caught my attention with the contrast between the foreground and sky.
This image is new in 2020 but it reminds me how often I reshoot the same subjects. As I catalogue more images of Little Pisgah there will be several variations but this is my favorite road.
Looking towards the Hickory Nut Gorge from the pasture on Little Pisgah. Another shot within the post to show a different shape in the foreground.
Looking towards the Black Mountain range from the pasture on Little Pisgah. Got a lot of good shots in late January, was nice to spend a few hours outside with warmer weather.
A view from Strawberry Knob on Little Pisgah. Looking towards the Hickory Nut Gorge on the left and towards Henderson County on the right.
Wandered over to this area of the marsh to take a look at a variety of birds. Boardwalk from the parking lot leads you into this area. Interesting landscape in the lowcountry at Boone Hall Plantation.
Simple shot of the marsh around Horlbeck Creek on Boone Hall Planation. Stark contrast between the wetlands and water is what eventually won me over on this image. Photo taken around the Cotton Dock in September of 2018.
Boone Hall Plantation tidal marsh. The little boardwalk located at the main parking lot will take you to a marsh area with a ton of wildlife. I'm typically carrying a wide angle for landscapes but consider a telephoto if you want to capture the birds.
