Infrared black and white image from Bad Fork Valley Overlook. Milepost 399.7 on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Mt. Pisgah is the tallest peak in the background at 5,722 ft. It looks as if some recent clearing has opened up the view corridor for the valley.
Chestnut Cove Overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway. I've photographed this location a few times as its one of the first overlooks heading south from Asheville. Really liked the infrared effect on the foliage in the front but with the dapple light from the clouds it may be a little "busy" as a composition. Will try it again soon.
Blue Ridge Parkway mile marker 402.6 is the location for the Stoney Bald Overlook. I typically won't include the actual signs in the photos but with a lack of foreground options I liked what it did in this particular shot.
