Giants Hall in Luray Caverns. The photos don't show off the size of this space, really did live up to its name in person. Photo taken in 2013 traveling on the Skyline Trail in Virginia.
I believe these were taken in Giant's Hall in Luray Caverns. Can't remember the exact location but the photographs don't do a great job of representing scope. Largest caverns in the East. So much texture and detail everywhere you looked on the tour.

Luray Caverns on the Skyline Trail. Included with the Blue Ridge Parkway category since it's a natural extension of the road. Taken in 2013 on a quick road trip to DC.
The lighting in Luray Caverns drops off quickly. Seems somewhat ominous with the red color from the rocks and artificial bulbs fading into darkness. On the Skyline Trail just outside of the town of Luray.
The infrared black and white helps cut through the haze during the summer. Thought this composition was pretty good. The contrast between the trees and horizon line help frame the mountains.
Grainy images at 6400 ISO. I was happy to have taken the time to go up and capture it. Also learned I should shoot the next one at 3200.
Simple sunset image from the Blue Ridge Parkway. The clouds gave just enough coverage to allow the mountains to come in clearly.
Black and white infrared from the Bad Fork Valley Overlook. Easy to shoot a variety of images on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Go up with a purpose or location and let nature do the work.
Would like to shoot some astrological photos when I have time to sleep in. During one of tests on the Blue Ridge Parkway I noticed a plane streaking through so I let the aperture stay open to capture the motion. Since the camera can handle it I need to pick a time for Milky Way exposures around 3:30 in the morning...
