The Vendue Fountain at Waterfront Park in Charleston, SC. Photo taken somewhere between 2004-2005, re-edited in 2021.
This was my favorite of the early macro images. Trying to switch up subjects and styles to get out of a shooting rut. If you don't know what you want to shoot, create an image from an ordinary object.
Looking for color and selective focus on the early macro shots. Would have been hand-held so the focus is difficult to lock in a spot. Would prefer this to be sharper.
Another from 2004-2005 in Charleston. Macro lens experimentation.
Deep dive on the hard drive and I believe I found my first macro shots. Would have been years ago borrowing a friends lens in Charleston. Probably around 2004-2005.
My favorite from the Lagoon Trail at the Biltmore Estate. Liked the single walker giving perspective to the size of the massive home. Asheville, NC.
Liked the way the road & clouds broke the composition up into the rule of thirds. Photo from the Biltmore Lagoon Trail in Asheville, NC.
Couple of perspectives from the lagoon trail at the Biltmore Estate. I typically shot several so I can crop the composition to fit any format. Asheville, NC.
Looking at the last range on the Southern Escarpment, South Carolina in the distance. Photo from Little Pisgah Mountain in Fairview, NC.
