Warm light on the foreground but shooting away from the sunrise towards Mt. Michell and the Black Mountains. September, 2021.
The next morning did have good color during the sunrise on Little Pisgah. One image with a longer exposure and motion blur, the other without.
After a sunset with very little color we stuck around for the night view from Little Pisgah. Close to the new moon in September (playing catch up) the stars were visible but the Milky Way wasn't as dramatic as earlier in the year.
Really like the neutral tones in this image from Little Pisgah. Shooting around sunset but the color wasn't great so I started looking for what was available.
When I took this shot on Little Pisgah I realized I needed to speed up shutter speed to freeze the flowers. Looking back I like the motion.
Sharp focus on the crystals for this macro image. Bright, direct sunlight allowed the reddish hue from the porch railing to show up in the image.
Similar to the composition with the harsh shadow (0148) but created additional distance from the crystal and zoomed in. Macro on the porch in direct sunlight.
Single plane of focus on the crystal to create a shallow depth of field. Macros on the porch in direct sunlight.
Drawn to the gradient from light to dark on this crystal. Macro images from the porch, shot with direct sunlight.
