The Basilica of St. Lawrence in Asheville, NC has the largest freestanding elliptical dome in North America. Walking towards the church you can catch a glimpse before going in.

I believe this is the rectory (or parish house) at the Basilica of St. Lawrence in Asheville, NC. Beautiful building downtown next to the Civic Center. I'll try to create a category for the architectural tour in Asheville with some of the images I'm collecting.
The Basilica of St. Lawrence in Asheville, NC. Designed by Spanish architect Rafael Guastavino in 1905. Has a little restoration work going on now but I'll be back to photograph it again when it's complete.

Hotel Cambria in Asheville, NC. Grove Arcade in the foreground, walkable to most downtown locations. Simple black and white infrared shot on a walk around town.
Overcast day on the Rocky Broad River in Chimney Rock. Favorite shot of the day as the rock in the foreground keeps your eyes in the composition rather than going downstream with the water. Infrared black and white shot in September, 2020.
Dream Lake in Luray Caverns. Located on the Skyline Trail these are the largest caverns in the East Coast. Wasn't expecting to enjoy it as much as I did, would go back next time I'm in the area.
