Through the glass at the WNC Nature Center. Nice to be able to see the species in East Asheville. Photo from 2011.

Took this in October 2013 while I was working on Beech Mountain. At the time I was doing my small part on a large project, splicing the fiber optic network. As part of my traveling work, i always took a morning or day on the way out to photograph a couple spots close to me.
I believe Oct 4th, 2013 will need to confirm. I read an article recently about how Ansel Adams was bothered by the fact he didn't record a date. But he had 10 mules and 4 other people with him on the journey, I feel better.
Photo of a gray fox at the WNC Nature Center. Difficult to shoot through the enclosure without reflections but caught this close up several years ago.
Thomas Wolfe's Angel in the Oakdale Cemetery. Photographed years ago but re-edited to share on this blog. Shot around sunset I tried to use the cloud to create a 1/3 & 2/3 composition.
Took these photos of the Black Bear at Grandfather Mountain on a quick stop. Obviously more exciting to see them in the forest but they typically don't pose for you there.
