This is the little sliver of the top of Hickory Nut Falls at Chimney Rock. The end of the Skyline Trail.
Top of Hickory Nut Falls at Chimney Rock. There isn't a good spot to view the waterfall but there are a couple little areas with the water before reaching the end of the Skyline Trail.

I remember taking this image while visiting family camping at Cascade Lake but can't remember the year. Thirds composition with the tree creating the line. Nice fall color reflections.

First Post of 2021. Starting the year with an old favorite. Ninepipe Wildlife Refuge in Montana. This is one of my favorite shots from the trip out West in 2003. Went back to the location a couple times during the summer and got some good sunsets. Late in the season when the water recedes there is an S-curve river in the marsh. Photographed on slide [...]

Took this in October 2013 while I was working on Beech Mountain. At the time I was doing my small part on a large project, splicing the fiber optic network. As part of my traveling work, i always took a morning or day on the way out to photograph a couple spots close to me.
