Kravica Waterfalls on the Trebižat River. About 25 miles south of Mostar and described as the heartland of Herzegovina. Very crowded when we visited as people enjoyed the water on the hot day.
The "Old Bridge" or Stari Most in Mostar, Bosnia. The arched, Ottoman bridge stood 427 years before being destroyed in the war in 1993. Rebuilt in 2004 to connect the two sides of the city.
Happy accident photographing this fabric shop as a patron walked out at the right time. She turned an otherwise boring photo into something with interest.
Tight streets heading into the old town, Mostar was filled with shops, galleries and museums. There is still plenty of evidence from the conflict in 1993 but we had a great day walking the town. Lunch in a nice little courtyard, the wife taking a ceremonial shot with the owners.
Admired the use of the land in the steep terrain. With a view like that why not go through the extra effort. Taken on the road to Mostar, unsure whether we were in Croatia or Bosnia at this point in the trip after a few border crossings.
On the to Mostar you go through several checkpoints and border crossings. Not a huge delay but we started early to avoid the longer lines. Nice elevated views along the road but I'm not sure if we're in Bosnia or Croatia when I took this photo.
