Another obligatory shot while in Yosemite. El Capitan & Half Dome. Should have better sunset shots coming up when I have time to edit, but for now, the hazy daylight edition.
El Capitan from Valley View. Standing on a log on the Merced River, still flooded from the spring snowpack melting.
El Capitan & Half-Dome get all the publicity, but i paid a lot of attention to Cathedral Rocks on this trip. Bridal veil Fall in Yosemite is 617 feet, dwarfed by the granite outcropping.
Valley View provides a clear line of sight between El Capitan & Cathedral Rocks. Merced River in the foreground. Not particularly a great shot, but it reminds me of standing there. Good enough for today.
After leaving Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks we headed north for Yosemite. Late afternoon sun on the valley floor. The color image in the gallery is from two days later but features both upper & lower falls.
