Haywood Road in West Asheville. The majority of the time these spaces are filled and the roads are full. During the lockdown there is a peaceful feeling walking around but I'm ready for that familiar busy energy to return.
Cows cleared the pasture after a few minutes while I set up a balanced composition. Sunrise wasn't dramatic but the morning was calm, peaceful and cold before the sun rose.
The light seemed to bend around the pasture to hit the Black Mountain range behind my initial set up. A familiar composition on Little Pisgah.

As the herd moved through the donkeys followed behind as protection. Feels like this should be a WNC Democratic Party poster. Spring is a nice time to be on the mountain.
